Gabor Altorjay
1946, Budapest, Hungary
He studied Theology from 1966-1967. He was granted political asylum in Germany in 1967 and then wrote many radio plays for WDR and HR. His feature film debut "Tscherwonez" was made in 1981 and was succeeded two years later by "Pankow 95". These were followed by the shorts "Ben's Bridge" (1989, also script and production) and "Polsprung" (1990), which was part of the international film project "City Life". "Ben's Bridge" won the Directors Choice Award at the 13th Black Maria Film Festival in 1993 while his latest project, "Punta Grande", was given the jury's special prize at the Hungary Film Days in 1996.

Director of the Research Institute ofr art History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Budapest), Professor at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and teaches in several Hungarian institutions. He had been taching at the University of Lyon 2 – Louis Lumiere (1988-89) and was Chief Curator of the 19th and 20th Centuries collections at the Hungarian National Gallery (from 1988 to1995) and General Director of Mucsarnok/Kunsthalle in Budapest. He was curator of numerous exhibitions, has written texts and published books on art, 20th century theory and contemporary times. Ordinary member of the Hungarian National Committee of CIHA.

Cristina Freire

Born in Rio de Janeiro 1961.Holds an MA in Museum and Galleries Management at the City University, London, and a PhD in Social Psychology (University of São Paulo), studying the role of the monuments in contemporary cities, thesis published in the book: Beyond the maps. Monuments in the urban contemporary imaginary, 1995.  Works as a curator at the Museum for Contemporary Art in São Paulo since 1990 and also is a lecturer in contemporary art at the University of São Paulo.
Among other exhibitions was the curator of Conceptual Art and Conceptualisms. The 1970’s in the Museum of Contemporary Art Collection, São Paulo (2000), Almost ephemeral art: records of performances, actions, situations (2001) and Experimental place for freedom: the Museum of Contemporary Art in the 1970’s (2002). Between 2000 and 2002 worked together with a team of curators on the research project Rumos - Itaú Cultural Artes Visuais. The aim of the project was a nationwide survey of young artists. During the years  2005-2006 was co-curator of the 27th Bienal de São Paulo (2006).
As a result of a long-term research project on conceptual art, published the following books: Poéticas do Processo. Arte Conceitual no Museu. [Poetics of the Process. Conceptual art in the Museum. S.Paulo, Ed. Iluminuras, 1999], Arte Conceitual [Conceptual Art, Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Zahar Editor, 2006] and Paulo Bruscky. Arte, Arquivo e Utopia, 2007.
